Trainings

We offer continuing education

Our in-house training courses are tailored individually, efficiently and specifically to your knowledge goals.

Create your own individual training package from our highly structured content range. Along with our training program we also offer the following courses when requested: QMAN, Condor as well as our MTS Maintenance and Service Training. Our training courses take place in small groups with no more than six participants, in German at our headquarters in Stutensee. If desired we can also offer the courses in English and at your location.

Current courses

CITE Basic

In the CITE Basic course you will learn how to use CITE to create and modify test programs for analog In-Circuit testing (ICT). This includes an introduction to the CITE software environment, our test system hardware and presentation of test methods for analog ICT.

Requirements: Basic familiarity with PC, Windows and Visual Basic (VB 6), familiarity with electrical circuit and measuring technology

Aim-Systems: In-Circuit testers from Digitaltest

Duration: 2 days

Trainer: Martin Bader

Themes:

  • CITE software basics (structure, installation, licensing, interface)
  • Test system structure, configuration, selftest
  • Test program creation of analog ICT: Assembly description, Automatic Program Generator (APG), test libraries
  • Test program structure, general CITE commands
  • Test methods for analog ICT including associated commands and debugging
  • FailSim, QCAM, panel test, test program translation and release

CITE digital In-Circuit Test

Expand your basic CITE knowledge in our CITE digital ICT course. Here you learn the basics of digital In-Circuit testing as well as use of the various test modules.

Requirements: CITE Basic course

Aim-Systems: In-Circuit testers from Digitaltest

Duration: 2 days

Trainer: Martin Bader

Themes:

  • Basics and theory of the digital In-Circuit test: Backdriving
  • Assembly description, Automatic Program Generator (APG)
  • Digital test modules (HYB01/03/04): Structure and commands (static/dynamic)
  • Debugging of the digital ICT (PATEX and VB)

CITE function test

The CITE Function Test course builds on the CITE Basic course and teaches you how to use the analog and digital test modules using practical examples.

Requirements: CITE Basic course

Aim-Systems: In-Circuit testers from Digitaltest

Duration: 2 days

Trainer: Martin Bader

Themes:

  • Test system structure
  • Analog test modules and their application (AMU, MUX, UPS, MTC, MSM, MOC, etc.)
  • Digital test modules and their application (HYB01/03/04, MDS, etc.)
  • Typical analog and digital application examples

C-LINK DTM

In the C-LINK DTM course you will learn how CAD/CAM software makes the import of CAD data, schematics and parts lists easier and prepares your data for optimal testing.

Requirements: Basic familiarity with PC and Windows, basic knowledge of populated circuit boards

Aim-Systems: Test systems from all manufacturers

Duration: 2 days

Trainer: Olaf Rohrbacher

Themes:

  • Import of CAD data, PDF schematics and parts lists
  • C-LINK component database CDB, panel definition, adaptability verification
  • Part number matching
  • Automatic and manual fixture design (e.g. pin placement, channel number assignment, label positioning)
  • Outputs (e.g. reports, CNC data, post-processor for ATE)
  • Generic Back Annotation
