Test system interface

An interface is - in general - a connection/transfer point between hardware and/or software. In the field of testing one speaks of test system interfaces.

The test system interface serves to connect universal tester resources with the DUT-specific fixture. With digital test systems, this connection can be designed as a vacuum, cable or pylon interface or can also directly contain a pneumatic press. If a flying prober is used, contacting is direct via the movable test heads, so that the fixture is not necessary.
